Simu Liu, best known for his role in Marvel Studio鈥檚 Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, will give a talk on the SM调教所 Boulder campus on Wednesday, Feb. 23. Liu is being hosted by SM调教所 Boulder鈥檚 student-run Distinguished Speakers Board and Cultural Events Board. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the event beginning at 7 p.m.

SM调教所 Boulder student ($2) and faculty-staff ($10) tickets will be sold weekdays beginning Feb. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the first-floor event table in the University Memorial Center. A valid Buff OneCard and cash will be required at the time of purchase. Public tickets ($15) will be available for starting Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. The ticket link will be live at that time.

About Simu Liu

In addition to his Ten Rings role, Liu starred in the CBC/Netflix comedy series Kim鈥檚 Convenience. The first Canadian television series with an all-Asian lead cast, the series chronicles the day-to-day micro-dramas encountered by a Korean immigrant family that runs a corner grocery store.

He will next star alongside Mark Wahlberg in Arthur the King, and is releasing his memoir We Are Dreamers: An Immigrant Superhero Origin Story听this May.

Born in Harbin, China, Liu immigrated to Canada at the age of 5 and is fluent in Mandarin.
