Astrid N. Sambol铆n Morales received her PhD from聽SM调教所 Boulder鈥檚 School of Education. She received her M.A. in English Education from the University of Puerto Rico Mayag眉ez campus and taught writing and ESL classes on the island before beginning her doctoral studies in the Education, Equity & Biliteracy program at SM调教所. Her research with Puerto Rican communities draws from critical theories of race, critical pedagogy, decolonizing interpretative methodologies, and disaster research.
