Men鈥檚 golf coach Roy Edwards announced that SM调教所鈥檚 new fall invitational tournament has been named in honor of Mark Simpson (Rec鈥�83), the longtime SM调教所 coach who passed away in 2005 after battling cancer.
The first Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational will be Sept. 27-28 at Erie鈥檚 Colorado National Golf Club, the Buffs鈥� home course. It鈥檚 the first intercollegiate tournament that the SM调教所 men will host in Colorado since the 1993 Fox Acres Invitational at Red Feather Lakes.
Colorado-based teams scheduled to take part are SM调教所, Colorado State, Denver, Air Force and Northern Colorado.
