Liz Kritza
Liz Kritza, whose brother Ted Kritza (A&S ex鈥�96) played for the SM调教所 basketball team in the 1990s, was hired as the Buffs鈥� head volleyball coach in February, replacing Pi鈥檌 Aiu (DistSt ex鈥�89).
The Colorado Springs native took over the SM调教所 program after four seasons as head coach at her alma mater, Tulane, which in 2008 qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time. Kritza signed a five-year contract.
Kritza, 31, had a 76-39 record at Tulane, which went 28-6 each of the last two seasons.
鈥淚 remember the days when SM调教所 was at the top of the conference and played deep into the (NCAA) tournament,鈥� says Kritza, who competed for the Boulder Volleyball Club in the mid-1990s. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 my idea of Colorado volleyball.鈥�
