The SM调教所 Asian Studies Graduate Association (SM调教所BASGA) Conference will be held this Friday and Saturday on the SM调教所-Boulder campus.聽This聽is an annual event hosted by SM调教所 faculty and graduate students of the Department of Asian Languages and Civilizations. The goal of the conference is to foster cross-cultural understanding of Asia through the presentation of graduate level research on a wide variety of Asia-related topics. Peer-reviewed graduate student panelists will give presentations on a variety of Asia-related topics. This year's keynote speakers will be Professor Ronald Egan,聽Stanford University, who will discuss "Chinese Poems with Contested Meanings,"聽and Professor Adam Kern, University of Wisconsin-Madison, whose talk is entitled, "Dirty Sexy Haiku."

The conference will be held in ATLAS 102 on Friday, February 19, from 1:00-7:00 p.m., and in Eaton Humanities 250 on Saturday, February 20, from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
